Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using TallyMail ("the Service") operated by TallyMail ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
TallyMail is an AI-powered expense tracking service. It works by receiving emails forwarded from your Gmail account to a designated TallyMail inbox address. Our AI automatically reads and extracts expense information from these emails and displays the data in a personal dashboard.
TallyMail is a personal expense tracking tool. It does not provide financial advice, accounting services, tax preparation, or investment guidance. The data shown is for personal reference only.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use TallyMail. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
You may only maintain one active TallyMail account. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans is prohibited.
You may use TallyMail solely for personal expense tracking by forwarding your own legitimate receipts, invoices, and bank alert emails. You must only forward emails that you own or have the right to share.
You may not: (a) forward emails belonging to others without their consent; (b) use TallyMail to process spam, phishing, or fraudulent emails; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service; (d) use the Service to process sensitive personal data of third parties such as medical records, legal documents, or financial data of others; (e) forward emails containing malware or malicious content; (f) attempt to circumvent any security measures or rate limits.
By forwarding emails to TallyMail, you explicitly consent to the content of those emails being processed by our AI (powered by OpenAI's API) for the purpose of expense extraction. Do not forward emails that you do not want to be processed by third-party AI systems.
You retain full ownership of your expense data and the emails you forward. TallyMail does not claim ownership over your data.
By using the Service, you grant TallyMail a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, store, and process the emails and expense data you submit — solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You may export your data as CSV at any time and delete your account (including all data) through the Profile settings page.
TallyMail uses AI to parse expense data from email text. While we strive for accuracy, AI parsing may produce incorrect amounts, categories, dates, or merchant names. You should verify important figures before using them for financial decisions, tax filings, or accounting purposes.
TallyMail is not a financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.
You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any inaccurate expense records in your dashboard. TallyMail is not liable for decisions made based on parsed data.
We strive to keep TallyMail available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or third-party service outages (e.g., OpenAI API downtime) may cause temporary unavailability.
Emails are fetched from our inbox on a scheduled basis (approximately every 5 minutes). There may be delays between when you forward an email and when the expense appears in your dashboard.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
You may terminate your account at any time from the Profile settings page. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or misuse the Service. In cases of serious violations, termination may occur without prior notice.
TallyMail is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI parsing will be 100% accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TallyMail shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or financial errors resulting from AI parsing inaccuracies — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall TallyMail's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of TallyMail shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of TallyMail after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
